Hello. Welcome to channel 4 news, which is located in Boston, Massachusetts. My name is Ajay Radhakrishnan and I?m going to give you the weather forecast for today, October 10, 2003. Let?s start with our U.S map. In the Northwest we are going to have some precipitation in the form of rain. Over in the Midwest we are going to have some low temperatures. In the southeast there?s going to be a hurricane. In the Northeastern part of the United States there?s going to be some precipitation in the form of snow.

Now let?s zoom in on two spots. We said in the East Coast, a steady rainstorm might arrive. If you look at the map you will see a warm front forming. The warm front will cause clouds to form. The precipitation has been getting heavier and heavier. Our rain gauge reading is showing an increase of precipitation. Our Satellite radar is showing cumulonimbus clouds forming.The clouds mean heavy precipitation is on its way. Also our hygrometer reading is showing that there is low humidity in the air. This means precipitation is going to arrive. Therefore we predict a steady rainstorm is on its way.

In the Southeast there is a chance of a hurricane. If you look at the map you will see a cold front forming. This usually means warmer air has risen and that cooler air has taken it?s place. The rain gauge reading is showing high precipitation. This means there is a bigger chance of a hurricane. The wind is moving in from the east. The satellite radar is showing hurricane clouds forming in the Gulf Of Mexico. Also the hygrometer reading is showing less humidity in the air. This usually means more precipitation is going to arrive. There is also low pressure is getting developed in the Atlantic Ocean. Therefore we can predict that a hurricane is going to hit the East Coast near Florida.

Now lets look at our local weather in Boston, Massachusetts. Here is the five-day forecast. On Monday there is going to be Showers. The high temperature is 35 degrees. The low temperature is 11 degrees. On Tuesday there is going to be rain. The high temperature is 29 degrees and the low temperature is 8 degrees. On Wednesday there is going to be Rain/Wind. The high temperature is 27 degrees and the low temperature is 5 degrees. On Thursday we?re going to have snow. The high temperature is 20 degrees and the low temperature is ?2 degrees. On Friday there is going to be Snow/Wind The high temperature is 15 degrees and the low is ?10 degrees.

Now let us look at the precipitation graph. On Monday we had 0.5 inches of precipitation. On Tuesday we had 1.0 inch of precipitation. On Wednesday we had 0 inches of precipitation. On Thursday we had 1.5 inches of precipitation. On Friday we had 2.0 inches of precipitation. On Saturday we had 3.0 inches of precipitation. On Sunday we had 3.5 inches of precipitation.
